About Me

Growing up, I spent a lot of time in my grandparents’ video store surrounded by endless rows of movies. I would spend many “sick” days here perusing through the aisles and picking out my favorite films to sit and binge through while I “recovered.” I cannot count the number of times I watched both the Star Wars and Indiana Jones trilogies in their entirety while glued to my 13” screen, bewitched by the crackling and worn out VHS tapes. I can only hope to pass the same sense of joy and wonder I garnered from these films on to the next wave of impressionable minds.

I got into this industry to tell stories.

Storytelling is the primary way we communicate, and it’s one of the oldest ways we’ve passed on knowledge from generation to generation. It's a big reason we’ve gotten to where we are as a society. There is a particular channel of shared emotion that can be tapped into when watching/reading/listening to a good story. In a world where we are pretty secluded in our own social circles, relating to people helps keep our communities tighter. To have this effect, your story has to be carefully crafted.

I enjoy the pressure that sort of creative problem-solving brings. My experience working in a fast-paced, iterative environment has strengthened my ability to work or lead a team where clarity in communication is a precious commodity. I currently work across many stages in the production pipeline, building out my skills in storyboarding, editing, cinematography and animation. I’ve had the pleasure of working on numerous shipped titles, including Borderlands, Batman, Minecraft, Guardians of the Galaxy and the Walking Dead.

Most recently I’ve worked with an incredible team at Double Fine Productions working on Psychonauts 2.
